3 Texas '10 Most Wanted Fugitives' captured

Austin -- Three of Texas' 10 Most Wanted Fugitives were recently captured, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Josue Reyna, 24, was arrested Nov. 18 in Del Rio, Texas; Alfredo Rangel, 37, was apprehended on Thursday in Mexico and Ngoc Van Tran, 44, was also arrested on Thursday, according to a press release.

Reyna was arrested at the border when he attempted to enter the United States. According to officials, the arrest was not a result from a tip and no reward is being offered. He was wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and retaliation.

The DPS Criminal Investigation Division and the U.S. Marshals Service coordinated with Mexican authorities to locate and arrest Rangel in Laredo, Texas. His arrest was a result of a tip and $7,500.00 will be paid, according to officials. Rangel, who was involved in a violent assault on a DPS trooper in 2000, was wanted for parole violation, larceny and engaging in organized criminal activity.

Tran, wanted for parole violation and the murder of his wife whose body was found in the trunk of an abandoned vehicle, was located by the U.S. Marshals Service. The arrest was not a result of a tip and no reward will be paid.
