18-year-old accused of making terroristic threat at Prairie Lea School, causing lockdown

The Prairie Lea School campus was put into lockdown as a precaution until Baros was in police custody, according to the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office.

CALDWELL COUNTY, Texas — An 18-year-old has been arrested after making a terroristic threat towards a student at Prairie Lea School campus Tuesday.

According to the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened at 11:04 a.m. Tuesday after the suspect made a threat towards a student at the school and the school itself. Police identified the suspect as David Baros, 18.

Police were reportedly able to locate Baros in Luling, Texas, where he was taken into custody without hurting any students.

The Prairie Lea School campus was put into lockdown as a precaution until Baros was in police custody, according to CCSO.

Baros has been charged with terroristic threat and evading arrest or detention. No bonds have been set for Baros as of Tuesday afternoon.
