Groundbreaking for Austin FC's stadium set for September

Groundbreaking for McKalla Place, home of Austin FC, has been set for September this year. The field is expected to be grass and as you would expect, the stadium will serve craft beer.

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin Anthem announced on Twitter the groundbreaking for Mckalla Place, home of Austin FC, will occur in September.

Austin Anthem went on in the tweet to say the field will be grass, the stadium will have craft beer and scarves will soon be on sale at the official store.

The big question though is, "what about the queso?"

The tweets came out during the Meet and Greet with Austin FC President Andy Loughnane on Tuesday at Austin Beerworks.

It was a packed crowd at Austin Beerworks for the event.

Don't worry, if you missed the event on Tuesday, Austin FC stated there would be future community meet-ups.
