New coding school opens in Austin to prepare kids of all skill levels for future in tech

The Coder School had its grand opening in Austin over the weekend. The school will hold classes and camps to teach children how to code.

AUSTIN — Over the weekend, a new school opened to teach children in Austin how to code.

The Coder School is a franchise with centers all over the country. The Austin location had its grand opening on Saturday. Owners Fahd and Amy Pizada want to prepare children for a more technological future. Coding is manipulating a computer device using different numbers, codes and words.

"In Austin, there is a lot of growth in the tech industry and a lot of missed opportunities because companies cannot find coders," said Amy Pizada.

The school has 'code coaches' that teach children how to code, regardless of how technologically advanced the child is.

"The whole idea of the coder school is to teach kids like music and swimming, instead, they are playing with computers," said Fahd Pizada.

The Coder School in Austin is located at 3616 Far West Blvd, Suite 109. For more information, click here.
