KINGSLAND, Texas -- A woman charged with murder last week is accused of wrapping a man in a blanket and setting him on fire, according to an arrest report.

The Llano County Sheriff's Office said 23-year-old Jose Mario Hernandez was found dead at a house in the 200 block of McGee Trail in Kingsland on Aug. 26. Deputies responded to the house "in reference to a fire with possible injuries."

Deputies found Hernandez's body wrapped in a blanket and set on fire. A large piece of concrete was next to him.

Deputies took 46-year-old Kathryn Louise Preston into custody at the scene. According to sheriff's deputies, Preston and Hernandez had been in a relationship for two or three years.

Preston told deputies that Hernandez was her husband and he was abusing her, and that he was on the bedroom floor because he hit his head on a rock, according to the arrest report.

Preston is charged with first-degree murder and is in the Llano County Jail with a bond of $500,000.
