MANOR, Texas -- Video obtained by KVUE Monday portrays a road rage incident in which a man can be seen exiting his vehicle with a baseball bat.

According to the Department of Public Safety, an off-duty recruiter with the DPS drove up on the incident shortly after it happened around 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The DPS recruiter said someone exited one of the vehicles with a baseball bat and another weapon before driving off.

The incident reportedly occurred on State Highway 130 northbound near the Gregg Manor and E. Howard Lane exit.

Dawn Cooper told KVUE she was leaving work and sitting at a red light on Cameron Road when she witnessed the beginning of this road rage incident. Cooper said both cars were driving very fast and somehow during the altercation she noticed the black SUV had damage.

“The bumper was hanging off at any minute it felt like that bumper could have flew off to the red car,” Cooper said.

According to police, the driver of a black SUV backed into red sedan at a McDonald's in Austin.

Cooper said she’s glad no one was hurt but this is an experience she says she'll learn from.

“I just keep my wits and I watch around. If they want in front of me or they want to merge just go because you don't know who you are going to deal with, you don't know what they are going to pull out on you,” Cooper said.

The Austin Police Department reported Thursday there are two other case incidents possibly related to this call. The first they said came in at 5:48 p.m. to Camino La Costa and I-35, the second at 5:53 p.m. on the 6300 block of US 290 eastbound. The last SH 130 call came in at 5:59 p.m. on the 1000 block of SH 130.

The APD said there is not an open investigation into this case because the victims have not filed a police report.
