Police are investigating what they have called a "suspicious death" after a school bus driver found a body in East Austin Wednesday morning.
A school bus driver reported seeing a body on the roadway in the 1400 block of Meander Drive at 7:26 a.m. Wednesday, according to APD.
On Thursday APD identified the victim as 24-year-old Tyler Benjamin Athey.
The Travis County Medical Examiner's Office determined that Athey's death was a homicide. APD said he suffered obvious trauma.
This is the 32nd murder in Austin this year.
