Buda police arrest robbery suspect accused of entering bank with black face paint

The robbery happened at Broadway Bank on FM 1626 on March 9, at approximately 3 p.m., police said.

BUDA, Texas — The Buda Police Department has arrested a bank robbery suspect accused of entering a bank disguised with black face paint. 

Police said on March 9, at approximately 3 p.m., officers were dispatched to Broadway Bank on FM 1626 for a robbery call. Buda PD said the man had just left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash after passing a note to the teller demanding money.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male in his 40s, according to Buda PD

Santiago Campuzano-Salazar, 39, was arrested on robbery charges on March 12. Police said he confessed to the robbery and he was taken into custody without incident.
