Bastrop deputies seeking 'armed and dangerous' sex offender who failed to register, evaded arrest

Bastrop County officials said he may be staying and/or working in Travis, Caldwell, or Hays Counties. Police said he is known to be armed and dangerous.

BASTROP COUNTY, Texas — The Bastrop County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man who failed to register as a sex offender and evaded arrest, authorities said.

Deputies need the public's help finding Hassan Mohamed Saleh Jr., 28. Saleh evaded arrest during a warrant arrest attempt on April 9 at 123 Scarlet Oaks Drive, according to BCSO officials.

Authorities say he may be staying at his registered address of 124 Scarlet Oaks Drive in Dale or across the street at 123 Scarlet Oaks Dr. BCSO said he may be staying and/or working in Travis, Caldwell, or Hays Counties.

Police said he is known to be armed and dangerous.

He is described as a 6-foot-1-inch man, weighing 205 pounds with black hair and brown skin.
