H-E-B issues drink recall due to potential milk allergen

The recall involves gallon-size Hill Country Fare drinks.

SAN ANTONIO — H-E-B issued a recall for Hill Country Fare drinks due to a potential presence of a milk allergen. 

The grocery giant reported that the potentially impacted goods include gallon-sized Hill Country Fare pink lemonade, citrus punch, fruit drink and grape drink. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or even life-threatening allergic reactions if  they consume the products. 

However, there have been no reported illnesses related to the voluntary recall. All affected products have been removed from store shelves. 

H-E-B s said customers who bought the products can return it to the store for a full refund. Customers with questions can call customer service at 1-855-432-4438.

Here are the products and code dates included in the recall: 

  • HCF Pink Lemonade Gallon with code date 8/1/2020
  • HCF Citrus Punch Gallon with code date 9/30/2020 and 10/1/2020
  • HCF Fruit Drink Gallon with code date 08/1/2020 and 8/2/2020
  • HCF Grape Drink Gallon with code 8/2/2020
