Crews break ground on new Rainey Street high-rise in Austin

The new 30-story high-rise is set to be completed by 2021 and will offer retail, office and residential spaces.

AUSTIN, Texas — Crews have broken ground on a new-high rise that will be in the Rainey Street district of Austin. The building will be 30-stories tall between Driskell Street and Davis Street, where there are currently two parking lots.

The building will be called "The Quincy" and it will feature retail, office and residential spaces.

The ground-level will be the retail section with separate residential and office lobbies.

The building will have seven floors of parking, 19 floors of residential, three floors of office space and the top floor will be an indoor/outdoor sky deck overlooking Lady Bird Lake.

The new high-rise is expected to open in 2021, bringing the first building to the Rainey Street district that will offer retail, office and residential uses all within one building.
