AUSTIN, Texas — Crews have broken ground on a new-high rise that will be in the Rainey Street district of Austin. The building will be 30-stories tall between Driskell Street and Davis Street, where there are currently two parking lots.
The building will be called "The Quincy" and it will feature retail, office and residential spaces.
The ground-level will be the retail section with separate residential and office lobbies.
The building will have seven floors of parking, 19 floors of residential, three floors of office space and the top floor will be an indoor/outdoor sky deck overlooking Lady Bird Lake.
The new high-rise is expected to open in 2021, bringing the first building to the Rainey Street district that will offer retail, office and residential uses all within one building.
“The Rainey Street District has evolved into a thriving, organic, walkable neighborhood full of unique bars, restaurants, hotels and housing adjacent to Lady Bird Lake on the hike and bike trail," said Jamil Alam, managing principal for Endeavor. "The Quincy will weave nicely into the fabric of the neighborhood and establish a new front door to the district."
