The postal service is looking to fill immediate openings for three types of positions.

AUSTIN, Texas — Looking for a job? The United States Postal Service (USPS) is hiring in Austin!

Ahead of the busy holiday season, the postal service is looking for people to join through the season and beyond. To assist potential applicants, the USPS is hosting a job fair to fill immediate openings in Austin for three types of positions.

The USPS is looking to hire for city carrier assistant (CCA), rural carrier associate (RCA) and assistant rural carrier (ARC) positions. The job fair will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 27, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the USPS Southeast Station located at 4516 Burleson Road in Austin. USPS personnel will be on-site to provide detailed information about the positions and answer questions.

Starting pay for the positions is $18.51 per hour for CCAs and $19.05 per hour for RCAs and ARCs, paid bi-weekly. Applicants must be 18 and be able to pass a drug screening and a criminal background investigation. Applicants must also be available to work weekends and holidays.

To see full details on duties, responsibilities, requirements and benefits or to submit an online application, visit www.usps.com/careers. Job postings are updated frequently, so the postal service recommends checking back often for additional opportunities.

The USPS is an equal opportunity employer "offering a fast-paced, rewarding work environment with competitive compensation packages, on-the-job training, and opportunities for advancement."
