The building site already includes Reina Bar.

AUSTIN, Texas — A new cocktail bar is one step closer to becoming a reality, according to a report from Community Impact.

On July 26, the Austin Planning Commission approved a conditional-use permit for a four-story cocktail lounge inside a proposed 49-story high-rise.

The bar will total 22,985 square feet and comprise the basement, first, second and twelfth floor of the building at 80 Rainey Street, Community Impact reports. The proposed building includes four stories dedicated to the lounge, a restaurant, offices and multifamily housing.

The proposed site also includes 350 vehicle parking paces and 200 spaces for bicycles, according to Community Impact.

The building site has multiple lots and already includes Reina Bar.
