One of the last Rainey Street homes now on the market for $2.65M

Over the weekend, 71 Rainey Street was spotted with a for-sale sign out front.

AUSTIN, Texas — One of the last remaining residential properties on Rainey Street – if not the last remaining residential property – has officially hit the market.

The house on 71 Rainey St. was spotted over the weekend with a Keller Williams for-sale sign out front.

According to multiple online listings for the property, this 1,146-square-foot home was built in 1910. It is now being advertised as a commercial property with a $2.65 million price tag.

"These properties rarely go to market, and awaiting your next concept, whether it be a restaurant, bar, hotel or music venue, the options are endless with the CBD zoning," the listing states.

Meagan Clark is a real estate agent who works for Keller Williams Realty, and she is currently taking offers for the property. She said her team put in a lot of pre-market sales work before it was put on the market. She will be taking offers until the end of the week, and the current owner will get 60 days to move out. She said while she has been getting a lot of interest already, a good portion of it is coming from interested buyers in Central Texas.
