LIST: Manufacturing jobs hiring in the Austin area

As Austin continues to attract more manufacturing companies, here are some job positions needing to be filled.

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin has recently become a hotspot for many manufacturing companies in Central Texas. With these companies come several job positions that need to be filled.

Here are some manufacturing jobs currently available in the Austin area:


Samsung Austin Semiconductor is currently looking to fill 50 manufacturing positions, according to its website. These positions range from technicians, to shift supervisors, equipment engineers and more.


Tesla is currently looking to fill several positions in the Austin area. Most of these jobs will be located at the upcoming Gigafactory. These positions range in qualifications and include several engineering opportunities.

BAE Systems 

BAE systems is currently looking for architects, engineers, technicians and more for its aerospace factory in Austin. The company currently has 28 positions available on its website.


Flex is a global supply chain and manufacturing solutions provider. According to the website, the company is currently looking to fill over 100 positions in Austin.


Randstad is currently looking to fill more than 100 manufacturing positions in Austin, with some positions being remote.

The Boring Company 

Elon Musk's The Boring Co. is currently hiring for 20 positions in the Austin area. According to Boring Co.'s website, the company constructs "low-cost transportation, utility and freight tunnels," with the goal to make transportation quicker and safer by creating a network of tunnels that alleviate traffic and congestion.  


Amazon is looking to hire more than 1,000 employees ahead of a planned August opening of its 3.8 million-square-foot fulfillment center in Pflugerville. Several positions in Austin are also available on Amazon's website.

Samsung, Tesla, BAE Systems, Flex and Randstad will be at  Austin Community College's two job expos at its Highland Campus on Thursday, July 8, and Saturday, July 10. The expo will run from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on July 8 and from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on July 10.
