City of Austin hosts annual career expo at Palmer Events Center

The City said that, last year, its virtual career expo attracted around 100 employers hiring for more than 4,000 jobs.

AUSTIN, Texas — If you're looking for a job in Austin, Monday could be your lucky day! The City of Austin is hosting its annual career expo at the Palmer Events Center.

The City said that, last year, its virtual career expo attracted around 100 employers hiring for more than 4,000 jobs.

The City said the goal of the career expo is to provide opportunities for job seekers of all backgrounds and to allow jobseekers to network with employers and resource providers.

Employers registered for Monday's event include private employers, state agencies, higher education and technical schools, temporary staffing agencies and many other smaller businesses with customer service, skilled and labor job openings.

The event will be held at the Palmer Events Center from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., with an opening ceremony at 10:45 a.m. to welcome employers and job seekers. Attendees are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes.
