LUBBOCK, Texas — Texas grocery store staple H-E-B announced on August 28 it has plans to expand the chain to Lubbock.

The store is planned to open late 2020. The location will be at 114th and Quaker.

Lubbock's store will include the Curbside service, a True Texas Barbecue, a fuel station with a car wash and a Texas Tech Collegiate shop in addition to the basic grocery services H-E-B provides.

H-E-B held a press conference Wednesday morning to announce the new store, as well as donating two truckloads of food to the South Plains Food Bank and four $25,000 gifts to local nonprofits.
