More stimulus checks go out

Another $2.2 million in stimulus checks have gone out

This round of checks were sent to people for whom the IRS previously didn't have information to issue a stimulus check but who recently filed a tax return. 

It brings the total number of stimulus payments to more than 171 million, with a value of $400 billion. 

GM to pause full-size truck production   

If you're on the hunt for a new pick-up truck, you may be temporarily be out of luck. 

General Motors is stopping production for most of its full-size pickup trucks for a week starting Monday. 

It's one more sign that the auto industry is struggling from the year-long global computer chip shortage. 

With the delta variant spreading, shutdowns and restrictions around the globe are coming back, throwing the supply chain into more chaos. 

Costco continues senior shopping hours

Costco has announced that it will continue its senior shopping hours

It comes after the big-box retailer had previously said it would end the practice. 

A surge in coronavirus cases is reported to be the reason for the change of heart.

Senior shopping hours will, however, be reduced to two days a week, from 9 to 10 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 

Netflix will add video games

And if future shutdowns put you back in your home, more entertainment is on the horizon.

Netflix is planning to expand their services to video games. 

Initially, the streaming service will offer mobile games to subscribers for no additional charge.

Netflix is expected to license some games as well as perhaps developing their own, as well as shows and movies based on games in the future.
