AUSTIN — Amazon announced it's planning to hire people for more than 5,500 jobs at their Austin location Wednesday.
The company said they'll be hiring for both seasonal and full-time roles at their customer fulfillment centers and delivery facilities across Texas. Those interested can walk in and receive an offer on the spot, or apply online. Amazon said they'll be hiring for the positions throughout the next 10 days.
Amazon recently announced that beginning on Nov.1, all workers will have a minimum wage of $15 per hour.
Applicants must be 18-years or older and have a high school degree.
