Here's how you can avoid ACL Festival traffic in 2018

Traffic in Austin is about to get messier with the Austin City Limits Music Festival taking over Zilker Park during the first two weekends of October. Here are all of the road closures during the ACL Festival you need to know about.

AUSTIN — ACL is here once again and that means crazy traffic around the Zilker Park area.

Here is a list of road closures southwest Austin drivers should be aware of.

Barton Springs Road will experience a full closure for the first weekend of ACL beginning Friday, Oct. 5, from 12:01 a.m. until Monday, Oct. 8, at 6 a.m. Then again, for weekend two beginning Friday, Oct. 12 until the 15th.

The full closure will take place at the same time as weekend one.

Another full closure near Zilker park will happen on Stratford drive. It will shut down Oct. 5 through the 8th and then again Oct. 12 through the 15th for ACL weekend one and two. The closure times will be from 12:01 a.m. on Friday until 6 a.m. Monday.

During both ACL Festival weekends, Rollingwood from Mopac won't be accessible to drivers. Also, there will be no northbound Mopac access via Bee Cave Road.
