AUSTIN -- A Dallas-based nonprofit focused on connecting young professional women through career and faith launched an Austin chapter.

It's called Polish (think nails, not Europe), and it was created to connect women who want personal and professional growth. The nonprofit was founded in Dallas seven years ago, and Austin is the first city chosen to get a new Polish chapter.

Polish hosts monthly luncheons that are open to all professional Austin women in their 20s and 30s. Each luncheon features a guest speaker, a local professional woman with an experience attendees can be inspired by. There are no strings attached to Polish. If you're interested in attending a luncheon simply register online. The luncheon fee is $25 -- and parking is free!

The first Austin luncheon takes place Wednesday, April 8 at Green Pastures Restaurant. The guest speaker will be Austin business owner Mica May of May Designs. The event is sold out; however, the next luncheon is May 13.
