Alamo Drafthouse screenings of 'The Good Place' series finale sell out

Alamo Drafthouse will be screening the finale live at two Austin locations.

AUSTIN, Texas — Holy shirt, "The Good Place" fans! Alamo Drafthouse announced it will screen the finale of the hit show's fourth and final season live at two Austin locations on – and both screenings have already sold out.

After the two-part episode ends on Thursday, Jan. 30, Drafthouse will stream the post-show special featuring "Late Night" host Seth Meyers and the full cast, live from Studio 6A at Rockefeller Center in New York City.

"The Good Place," created by Michael Schur ("Parks and Recreation," "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," "Master of None"), is a fantasy comedy series that centers on four people (played by Kristen Bell, William Jackson Harper, Jameela Jamil and Manny Jacinto) and two immortal entities (played by Ted Danson and D'Arcy Carter) struggling in the afterlife to define what it means to be good. The series premiered in September 2016 and has received critical acclaim and numerous award nominations and wins, including earning a Peabody Award in 2019.

The two Austin Drafthouse screenings of the finale will be at the Lakeline and South Lamar locations, both starting at 7:30 p.m. Drafthouse said the screenings will include themed drink specials and a custom preshow. The total runtime for the event is 90 minutes.
