AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas Chapter of The Recording Academy is preparing for a star-studded gala to celebrate 25 years.
The event will include programming that is private to Recording Academy members, but will also be open to the public by 8 p.m. for performances by Yolanda Adams, Asleep at the Wheel, Hanson, Bun B, Flaco Jimenez and more.
"The most important thing is that the event benefits MusiCares, and MusiCares is the health and human services philanthropic organization that the Recording Academy board created many years ago. MusiCares provides financial assistance, support and health services to musicians, especially at unexpected times of crisis," said Christine Albert, Recording Academy chair emeritus of the national board of trustees.
The event will take place on July 18 at ACL Live and tickets are on sale for $45 to $65.
