Road closures for Cap10K race this weekend in Austin

These closures begin near the start line, which is on the South Congress bridge over Lady Bird Lake.

AUSTIN, Texas — Driving in Downtown Austin on Sunday won't be fun.

You can expect road closures starting at 3 a.m. on Sunday for the annual Capitol 10K race. These closures begin near the start line, which is on the South Congress bridge over Lady Bird Lake.

Two major streets that will be closed are South Congress and Barton Springs Road. These are just two of the many road closures the area will experience.

Drivers not participating in the race are advised to avoid the area Sunday morning into early afternoon, if possible.
