IndyCar Classic series makes its way to Austin for first time ever this weekend

The IndyCar Classic will take place from March 22-24 for the first time ever in Austin.

AUSTIN, Texas — One of the biggest racing championships in North America is coming to Central Texas this weekend for the first time ever, as all types of fans plan to take in the action.

The Circuit of the Americas is a motor racing track that became the first of its kind in the country to be built solely for Formula One racing. Now it's going to be bringing in another big racing series to its course: The IndyCar Series. 

The very first IndyCar Classic will take place from March 22 to 24, featuring open-wheel racing and entertainment as well.

Bringing this series to Austin has been in the works for quite some time. An Ascension Seton Medical team has partnered with the IndyCar Classic team to provide the personnel and expertise necessary to help with any type of injuries or accidents that might occur. 

The AMR IndyCar Safety Team will also be in Austin, helping provide instant support and help with any accidents involving the vehicles.
