Shelby Kimball — Shelby Kimball is a digital assignment desk editor at KVUE in Austin, Texas, specializing in general assignment reporting.

She grew up in a small town in New Mexico. She received an athletic scholarship to play volleyball at Oklahoma Panhandle University, where she played her freshman year before transferring to Texas Tech University. There, she studied journalism and covered Red Raider sports with the student-produced sports show, Double T Insider. She also covered high school football as an intern with a local television station.

After her time at Texas Tech, she began her professional career as a desk assistant and producer at the Los Angeles bureau of ABC News. During her time there, she covered events like the ESPY's, the Emmys, and Hollywood movie premieres. She also produced for ABC shows like Good Morning America and World News Tonight with David Muir.

During her time in California, she also worked as a producer/editor at NFL Network where she covered fantasy football and created player highlight music videos. She decided to return to the Lone Star State in order to be closer to friends and family.

She joined KVUE in September 2017 as an associate producer. In August 2018, she moved to the position of digital assignment desk editor.

Shelby enjoys playing video games, participating in co-ed sports, such as flag football and softball, and loves exploring everything ATX has to offer.
