AUSTIN, Texas — Hannah Rucker is a reporter and weekend Daybreak anchor at KVUE in Austin, Texas.

As a native Texan, Hannah is thrilled to be telling stories back in her home state. For the last two years, she was a reporter and weekend evening anchor at WBTW in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Before that, she was a reporter at KLBK in Lubbock, Texas.

At both stations, she covered a wide range of stories and reported in wall-to-wall coverage during Hurricane Florence and Hurricane Dorian.

She has a passion for telling stories that impact the most vulnerable in a community, such as those experiencing poverty, foster children, neglected animals and domestic violence.

Hannah grew up in the Dallas area and graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos. She has fond memories of anchoring for Bobcat Update and floating down the river.

When Hannah is not at work, you can find her singing and enjoying live music with her family, who are all jazz musicians in Austin.

She also self proclaims herself as a “foodie” and especially loves trying new restaurants that use a lot of spice and peppers.

Hannah has a passion for volunteering with children and is currently looking for a new church to join!
