AUSTIN, Texas — Dominique joined the KVUE team in November of 2021. She’s looking forward to meeting residents of the community and trying some of that famous Texas barbecue!
Before coming to Austin, Dominique was a morning anchor and producer at KYMA in Yuma, Arizona. During her time in the desert southwest, she covered a variety of stories from immigration, being just miles away from the U.S.-Mexico border, to agriculture and presidential visits.
Dominique grew up in Indiana and graduated from Indiana University with a B.A. in journalism. In college, she was an anchor and reporter for Indiana University Student Television and served on the executive board for IU’s National Association of Black Journalists chapter.
As a student, Dominique made it a point to say yes to every opportunity that came her way. That included the chance to spend a semester in Los Angeles. In L.A., she got an inside look into late night television, interning at "The Late Late Show with James Corden." She credits this opportunity for furthering her interest in the television industry and illustrating in live television, it’s important to roll with the punches.
When Dominique isn’t working, she’s trying out new restaurants, going on a road trip, or binge watching her guilty pleasure, anything reality TV! She’s excited to call Austin home.
