AUSTIN, Texas — Maria Aguilera joined KVUE in January 2022, coming directly from KCEN, our sister station in Temple, Texas. She has worked more than three years as a morning, dayside and nightside reporter and multi-media journalist based in Waco.
Previously, Maria worked in Abilene for one year at KTXS News as a reporter covering the crime and courts beat. Maria was raised in Houston, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism from the University of Houston. During her college years, she worked at Telemundo Houston as a marketing assistant, production assistant and interned in the news department.
When she’s not at work, Maria spends time with her corgi, Milo. She loves photography, music and going on walks with her pup. She grew up visiting Austin with her family and now she’s excited to call it home!
