AUSTIN, Texas — If you are looking to honor soldiers who have lost their lives, there are several events planned around Central Texas this Memorial Day.

Below are just a few of the Memorial Day events happening around the Austin area.

Starting at 9:45 a.m. at the Texas State Cemetery, located at 909 Navasota St., music will be played and people dressed in historical military uniforms will lead a musket salute.

At 10 a.m., the Round Rock Veterans Coalition and the City of Round Rock will host its "Memorial Day: Remember and Honor" ceremony at the Yonders Point flag plaza, located on the north side of Old Settlers Park at 3103 Aten Loop. The ceremony will include a guest speaker, performances of the "Star-Spangled Banner" and "God Bless America," a TAPS bugler and a live 21-gun salute.

At 11 a.m., local dignitaries and representatives from the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) will be at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home & Cemetery in Pflugerville for their annual Memorial Day ceremony. That's located at 14501 N. Interstate 35.

Following that ceremony, from noon to 1 p.m., there will be a remembrance ceremony at Pflugerville Park, located on Heritage Loop Trail. A fundraiser will then be held at 200 E. Pecan Street from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
