Night Blooming Cerus - Dave Maguire

Night Blooming Cereus

This is a Night Blooming Cereus on Friday night, at about 11:15. It is an amazing plant that only blooms 2 or 3 times a year - and then, just during the night! By sunrise, it is all closed up and drooping straight towards the ground. It took us years before we saw this splendor in action, and a few more years to capture it like this. I had a little luck on noticing the buds getting ready so that I could to plan and set up to take some good pictures.
