Even before sunset the lightning flashes from this cloud caught my eye. The setting sun dramatically lit this lone thunderhead on Friday night over Lake Travis and Mansfield Dam. Upon checking radar, the closest rain was around the San Marcos area, so, either the lightning was just for show, or the rain was really falling many miles away.
