On the dunes of Tatooine.

Star Wars Spurs Dreams

These shots were taken on the dunes in southern Idaho when filming a fan film for the opening to a local Star Wars themed Sunday School group that I led there. The kids, aged 9 through 11, simply loved it. We had fun get togethers on a weekly basis, I taught the kids how to sword fight with "lightsabers", as well as many other things.

It was this project that spurred me on to follow my dream of going to film school in Florida. Since then, I've come to live in Ausitn and to follow my dream of one day being a film producer. Rick McCullam, the producer of the prequel trilogy encouraged me himself when he said that Austin was a great place to be. Once I found a place where I felt like putting down some roots, I could produce from anywhere.

I love living Austin. I'm not a film producer yet, but I still teach kids in my cul de sac how to lightsaber fight. My nephew actually believes I am a real life Jedi and askes me on a regular basis what planet I'm from. I tell him that I'm not from among the stars, but I do plan on working with a lot of them someday.
