We live on Cypress Creek about a half mile upstream from Lake Travis. This is the stream that powered the Old Anderson Mill during the Civil War to produce gun powder for the South.The Saltpeter came from the Longhorn Cavern bat droppings. The charcoal was made locally. This creek has never gone dry and the fish keep getting bigger My nephew, Clay Moore caught and released this bass Saturday afternoon so we all can enjoy it again and again.
