I took this photo at 8 a.m. in a nearby open space as large goose down flakes were falling in Cedar Park. Faintly in the distance you could hear squeals of delight from the children at nearby West Side Elementary. I should have taken more photos, but the snow turned to sleet, the wind picked up, and I was getting soaked and pelted all at the same time. Even this native Coloradoan knew it was time to go inside.
