Living on top of a hill in Paige, we see temperatures that are always more extreme than the towns around us. But this morning, Saturday, January 9, 2010, is the coldest we've seen in 15 years. This strategically-placed weather-reporting station is placed just off our back porch. When I awoke at 3 am, our bathroom water faucet wouldn't work, so I checked the temperature gauge: 11 degrees. But at 7:20 am, it clearly showed only 8 degrees! I'm sure there are more pictures out there, just awaiting my camera, but I'm staying in for pancakes, sausage, and a hot cup of coffee. My advice: relax and enjoy a warm day inside if at all possible!
