This past weekend up at the northeast end of Lake Buchanan, photographer Jack Marshall found himself counting more and more Monarch butterflies in his backyard. Investigating further, Jack found a neighbor's yard literally full of hundreds of Monarch butterflies. The butterflies were passing through the area on their way to over winter in Mexico. The Monarch migration path crosses directly over the hill country lakes surrounding the Austin area.
