During the Steiner Ranch fire evacuation, my wife and I were able to connect to numerous families on vacation who had left their pet in the care of a pet sitter, or simply evacuated on Sunday expecting to be home several hours later. With entrance into Steiner Ranch, pet sitters were unable to return and continue care for pets. Others who left for the day came home to learn there was no access to their house. We connected to people through the Steiner Ranch FaceBook page and were able to care for numerous pets on Monday and Tuesday. Suzy, featured in this short video, was trapped in a crate on Monday with no electricity, food or water. We took this video on our return visit with more food and water on Tuesday morning. The "happy" meter" wagging says it all.
