I was driving to Brenham on Hwy 71 and ran into this in Bastrop. Tried to find another way around Hwy 21 since it was closed down, so I continued down Hwy 71. I grabbed my phone once I realized what was happening and just pointed it at the smoke stack coming from the wooded areas. I would have continued down 71 but a fire spilled over on to the West bound side of 71 and I turned around. I had my 2 boys in the car with me - we got out of town QUICK!
