Fire stations responded to a grass fire at 685 and Pecan street today. The fire spread quickly aided by the extremely dry conditions and high winds. Fire units from Austin and Pflugerville were able to contain the grass fire before it was able to spread to a hedgerow and nearby farm. The fire was contained after about 45 minutes.
