When my wife came home from work this afternoon, she said we had a tree across our driveway. I work from home, and hadn't heard anything, but our 12-year-old bradford pear apparently had a bad spot right where all the big limbs branch off from the trunk. The constant winds we've had over the past few weeks apparently took their toll, with the main trunk cracking almost all the way to the ground. Fortunately, no one was injured and there were no cars in the driveway when it fell.
