8 year old Tucker Waters is featured in this video. On Friday, April 1, 2011 he visits the Texas Capitol and participates in a rally and vigil to speak out against Texas House Bill 1 and the proposed budget cuts to Medicaid services. He speaks on the steps of the Capitol at the Nightlight Vigil on Friday evening. His words are powerful and moving. His speech is all the more amazing since his parents were told when he was younger that he would never talk. Tucker thanks the state for his speech therapy which enabled him to talk, his hippotherapy which helped give him courage, and his attendant care. He asks the Legislature to please not cut these services. He asks for services so he can remain in the community, in his home with his family.
