The pond froze over this morning. You can see the orange koi just hanging there in the cold water. Experience tells us they will be fine, as they are cold-blooded. When the weather is hot, they are very active and hungry, but when it is this cold they hardly move at all and are not interested in eating.
On the left of the pond, we kept a bubbler going all night, so it didn't freeze over it. It has been a big hit with the birds, as all other available water is frozen.
