The City of Austin Solid Waste Services Department is searching for four Austin families* to participate in a new reality show- style competition called Dare to Go Zero.
Tasked with going Zero Waste, the selected families will learn how to reduce the amount of waste they generate while being filmed and participating in challenges throughout a five-week period.
The family with the largest percentage of “waste loss” will be the winner and will receive a grand prize. Episodes will air on the City’s Channel 6 and YouTube channels.

Applications are due by Dec. 31, 2010, at 5 p.m.
