LLANO, Texas -- The City of Llano has rescinded stage 3 drought restrictions and reverted to stage 2.
City officials say recent rains and forecasted cooler temperatures have helped the Llano River to rise.
Under the new drought restriction designation property owners can water twice per week with automatic irrigation systems or hose sprinklers according to the published schedule.
Watering is not allowed during the hours of 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Odd numbered addresses are allowed to water Wednesday and/or Saturday. Even numbered addresses may water Thursday and/or Sunday. Commercial or multi-family properties may water Tuesday and/or Friday.
The use of water for fountains, wash down of sidewalks, and washing of vehicles -- except on designated watering days -- is prohibited.
Violation of the water use restrictions may result in a fine according to the drought ordinance.
