SAN ANTONIO, Texas (AP) -- The National Weather Service says a tornado has touched down southwest of San Antonio, while thunderstorms and rain blanketed much of the state.
A tornado touched down Monday night about 25 miles southwest of San Antonio and moved northeast. The tornado was not reported to strike the city, though parts of Bexar County were placed under tornado warnings.
In neighboring Medina County, officials told the San Antonio Express-News (http://bit.ly/GAeVbT ) that several people were reportedly trapped in mobile homes, but no reported deaths.
In Dallas-Fort Worth, storms flooded roads and delayed flights. Other parts of Texas saw several inches of rain.
Parts of North, East and South Texas remained under a tornado watch late Monday. Other areas were warned about flash flooding through much of Tuesday.
