There is no doubt we've been seeing some beautiful sunsets across Central Texas recently. Our viewers have been sending in photos of breathtaking and colorful skies.
According to KVUE Meteorologist Albert Ramon, "We have sunrises and sunsets because of the earth’s rotation on its axis. We’ve been hanging on to low and midlevel clouds in the afternoon, and that makes for the pretty colors. At sunset/sunrise, the sun passes through a thicker atmosphere at the horizon, allowing for a orange glow. Clouds can reflect that warm color, making for an awesome site."
