With Halloween parties and trick or treating planned for Wednesday night, parents and friends of children with food allergies should be prepared to help their loved ones avoid items that can trigger allergic reactions.

There are some tips to help navigate the sometimes "tricky" Halloween holiday. Dr. Allen Lieberman with the Allergy and Asthma Center of Austin shared them with KVUE.
