LEANDER, Texas -- The Travis County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal stabbing at a mobile home in Leander.

Travis County Sheriff's spokesperson Roger Wade says the man who died was a part of a family violence incident. He's been identified as 41-year-old James Prestage.

The sheriff's office says Prestage was stabbed Wednesday morning by a male cousin in the 2200 block of Big Sandy Drive. That cousin has been identified as 47-year-old Reggie Horton.

Both Prestage and Horton lived at the home.

A third man who says he's the owner of the home called 911.

STARFlight transported Prestage to an area hospital with life-threatening inuries. He died shortly before noon Wednesday.

Horton was seen by a KVUE crew in handcuffs and with blood on his hands.

Detectives are still collecting evidence and talking to witnesses to determine what happened and what charges will be filed in this case.
